You are correct!

All hazardous waste must be properly labeled (the label must say hazardous waste and list the contents of the container-no abbreviations or formulas), secondarily contained, and should have the lid on the container at all times (to prevent spillage if tipped over), except when you are pouring waste into the container. Contact the Chemical Safety Office at 1-2663 for hazardous waste labels as shown in the picture and any other questions regarding these requirements.
